Inside the Dawn
“After my son’s death I had terrible survivor’s guilt. The Dawn Clinic saved me,” says Jay Jones. She was devastated after her son Elliot died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning, but a clinic overseas helped her to heal.
In October 2025, Lauren Sherriff became the first journalist to be invited to the Dawn Clinic to understand what really happens inside a £10,000-a-month rehabilitation centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand. A third of clients in the past seven years have been British, owing to a referral network of respected psychiatrists and therapists in the UK. Recent clients include a lord, the daughter of an MP and a self-made billionaire. Shot for The Telegraph.
